What is the SB450 steel?

JIS G3103 SB450 steel belongs to medium carbon quenched and tempered steel for pressure vessels. It has higher strength, toughness and hardenability than 45# steel. SB450 steel has good mechanical properties after modulation and good cutting performance, but its welding performance is relatively poor.

The production thickness is 8mm-300mm. It is mainly used in the manufacture of spherical storage tanks, second and third category pressure vessels, cryogenic vessels, etc.
