St52-3 steel is a German standard low-alloy steel, executive standard: DIN17100. In DIN17100 steel standard, the steel number is composed of St, the characteristic value of the steel and the quality index, the steel type for which the deoxidation method is selected, and the corresponding symbol (U or R) is placed in front of the steel number, such as USt52-3 or RRSt37-2.

St52-3 steel is equivalent to the Chinese garde Q345, (16Mn). It is used to manufacture all kinds of construction machinery, such as drilling rigs, electric shovels, electric wheel dump trucks, mining vehicles, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, various cranes, coal mine hydraulic supports and other mechanical equipment and other structural parts.
