The relationship between S355J2, S355J2-Z35, S355J2+N-Z35 steel plates
S355J2 is a low-alloy high-strength steel. The implementation specification of S355J2 is the European standard: EN10025, which can meet the requirements of Z-15, Z-25, Z-35 and Class I, Class II, and Class III flaw detection. The grades are expressed as S355J2-Z15, S355J2-Z25, S355J2-Z35.
The meaning of S355J2-Z35: J2 requires a negative 20 degree impact, and Z35 is the Z-direction performance of the steel plate.
The meaning of S355J2+N-Z35: J2 requires a negative 20 degree impact. N means equivalent to normalizing rolling but not necessarily normalizing. It is only a way to name the steel number in the specification. Z35 is Z-direction performance.
S355J2-Z35 is based on S355J2, which has increased the performance requirements in the thickness direction of the steel plate, that is, the Z-direction performance. S355J2+N-Z35 needs a normalizing rolling (or normalizing) heat treatment process with increased Z-direction performance.
