The difference between 12Cr1MoV and 12Cr1MoVR
12Cr1MoVR is a special Cr-Mo steel for pressure vessels, "12" is the carbon content of 0.12%, "Cr" is the chemical element - chromium, "Mo" is molybdenum, "V" is vanadium, and "R" is the first letter of the container plate capacity.12Cr1MoV lacks a letter R, and it is an alloy steel.
Differences in delivery status between 12Cr1MoV and 12Cr1MoVR:
12Cr1MoV is annealed or high temperature tempered: quenching heating temperature 970℃; tempering heating temperature 750℃.
12Cr1MoVR steel plate is usually delivered in normalized + tempered condition, if there are special requirements, 12Cr1MoVR steel plate can also be delivered in annealed or tempered condition.
Differences between 12Cr1MoV and 12Cr1MoVR:
12Cr1MoVR is mainly used in the manufacture of high-pressure boilers and containers.
12Cr1MoV steel is mainly used after normalizing and high-temperature tempering to manufacture overheated steel pipes, conduits, serpentine pipes and other corresponding forgings whose working temperature does not exceed 570~585 in high-pressure equipment.
