Technical conditions and heat treatment of 20CrMn alloy structural steel plate

Detailed introduction of 20CrMn steel plate:
20CrMn steel plate is alloy structural steel. 20CrMn is carburized steel and can also be used as quenched and tempered steel. Its hardenability is similar to 20CrNi. 20CrMn steel plate is used for shafts, connecting rods, gear shafts, gears, water pump rotors, clutches, small shafts, mandrels, etc. in chemical equipment to work under high speed and high bending load, without strong impact load. The upper part can be used as the bolt of the high-pressure vessel cover plate; It can partially replace 42CrMo and 40CrNi steel.

Chemical composition of 20CrMn steel plate (melting analysis)/%:
1) Carbon C: 0.17-0.23;
2) Silicon Si: 0.17-0.37;
3) Manganese Mn: 0.90-1.20:
4) Sulfur S: allowable residue ≤ 0.035;
5) Phosphorus P: allowable residue ≤ 0.035;
6) Chromium Cr: 0.90-1.20;
7) Nickel Ni: allowable residue ≤ 0.030;
8) Copper Cu: allowable residue ≤ 0.030;

Mechanical properties of 20CrMn steel plate:
Tensile strength σb (MPa): ≥930;
Yield strength σs (MPa): ≥735;
Elongation δ5 (%): ≥10;
Reduce area ψ (%): ≥45;
Impact energy Akv (J): ≥ 47;
Impact toughness value αkv (J / cm2): ≥59

Differences between 20CrMn steel plate and other steel plates:
When alloy elements are added inside the steel plate, the basic components of steel, iron and carbon, will interact with the added alloy elements. The purpose of alloying of 20CrMn steel plate is to improve the structure and properties of steel by using the interaction of alloying elements with iron and carbon and the influence on iron-carbon phase diagram and heat treatment of steel, which can be used to manufacture steel plates for important engineering structures and machine parts.
