Surface Quality Requirements of A283 Grade C Steel plate

When the production is completed, what are the acceptance criteria for the surface of the A283 Grade C steel plate?

1. The surface of A283 Grade C steel plate should be free of harmful defects such as scabs, bubbles, cracks, inclusions, folds, and pressed iron scales which affect its use.

2.A283 Grade C steel plate should not have visible delamination. The surface of A283 Grade C steel plate is allowed to have a thin layer of oxide scale, rust and other defects such as mesh, roughness, pitting, scratches.

3.The surface defects of A283 Grade C steel plate can be removed by grinding and other methods. The cleaning area should be smooth without edges and corners, and the cleaning depth should not exceed the negative deviation of thickness for A283 Grade C steel plate, and the allowable smaller thickness of A283 Grade C steel plate should be ensured.
