Rolling process of Q960E steel plate
In order to meet the strength and impact properties of Q960E steel, the original grain size formed in the rolling process is very important to the performance of Q960E steel after quenching and tempering.
The heating temperature of the heating furnace is 1160-1180°C. Under the premise of ensuring that the alloys such as Nb, Cr, Ni, and V are fully dissolved, the heating temperature of the heating furnace should be reduced as much as possible to effectively refine the grain size of the structure; the starting temperature of rough rolling is 1050 ℃, the thickness of the billet to be warmed is 120mm, and the finishing rolling adopts 3-5 passes of rolling.
The temperature is set at 810°C±20°C, and rolling is carried out in the non-recrystallized area to achieve a refined grain size, effectively avoid the generation of mixed crystals, and improve the impact performance of Q960E steel after quenching and tempering. The final rolling temperature is 810°C ±20°C, air cooling on the cooling bed after rolling, and stack cooling after the temperature of Q960E steel drops to 500°C.
