Production process of SM490YB steel plate
The production process of SM490YB steel plate generally include the following steps:
1. Raw material preparation. Firstly, raw materials for smelting need to be prepared, mainly including iron ore, scrap steel, alloy, etc., and fuel and oxidizer also need to be prepared.
2. Smelting. The raw materials of SM490YB are put into the blast furnace for smelting, and the molten iron is obtained through the processes of calcination, melting, decomposition and reduction reaction under high temperature and high pressure in the blast furnace.
3. Process control. Necessary physical and chemical parameter control of molten iron to precisely control the composition and performance of SM490YB.
4. Molten steel treatment. By adjusting the chemical composition and temperature of SM490YB molten steel, using vacuum suction, scouring, nanometerization and other methods, remove impurities and non-metallic inclusions in SM490YB steel, and control the content of oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen, etc. to ensure the uniformity and stability of the subsequent rolled SM490YB steel.
5. Salvage and hot metal neutralization. The regulated and treated SM490YB molten steel is salvaged from the blast furnace. The purpose of the hot metal neutralization is to make the SM490YB molten steel reach a temperature suitable for continuous casting.
6. Continuous casting. In a continuous manner, SM490YB molten steel is poured into the product continuous casting machine with shaped molds, and after solidification, SM490YB molten steel can form finished products such as strips or plates.
7. Rolling. After subsequent processes such as cooling, billet cutting, and feeding, use a rolling mill for rolling to obtain the size and shape that meet the requirements of SM490YB steel plates.
8. Treatment of SM490YB steel plate. finish machining of SM490YB steel plate by curling, trimming, deburring, flattening and other methods to improve its surface finish and precision, so as to achieve higher required strength and plasticity.
