Production and application of high-grade Q500qE bridge steel plate
The Q500qE bridge steel plate is available in three grades: Q500qD, Q500qE, Q500qF. Q500qE bridge plate is used to make highway bridges and railway bridges (including sea-crossing bridges) of riveted and bolted structures.
Chemical composition of Q500qE bridge steel plate:
C : 0.11, Si : 0.55, Mn : 0.8-1.7, P : 0.02, S : 0.015, Nb : 0.005, Cr : 0.8, Ni : 0.7, Cu : 0.3
Tensile yield strength of Q500qE steel plate:
Yield strength: 480-500MPa
Tensile strength: 630MPa
Elongation: 18%
Shock temperature: -40 degrees
Impact energy: 120J
Q500qE bridge steel plate is usually delivered in quenched + tempered, thermomechanical rolled (TMCP), thermomechanical rolled (TMCP) + tempered state, and the steel plate should be delivered trimmed.
Q represents the yield strength; 500 means that the yield strength value is: 500MPa; q is the meaning of the bridge structural steel plate; the impact temperature of the E marked steel plate is -40 degrees (minus 40 degrees).
