NM400 wear-resistant steel- Unique Welding Technology
NM400 wear-resistant steel plate has high hardness and toughness, which has high requirements of welding. Ordinary welding methods can't be used, it needs specific weld-rod to weld.
What are the type of uses and the parameters of weld-rod?
1、The commonly welding methods are:
a. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW): ER50-6, J506, J606, J607, HE606, preheating about 100°C, heat input 15-21KJ/cm.
b. Submerged Arc Welding (SAW): 08Mn2SiA+HJ431: preheating at around 100°C, heat input 26-31KJ/cm.
C.Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAWF): 08Mmn2SiA+C02: preheating about 100°C, heat input 14-17KJ/cm.
2、Weld-rod recommendation of NM400 wear-resistant steel:
MG600 weld-rod can be considered, because it's chromium nickel alloy weld-rod which has high-efficiency and high-strength. The most important thing is that MG600 has excellent plasticity, toughness, and crack resistance, it is almost suitable for common steels.
Excellent performance of weld, stable arc, easy to deslagging, less splashing, and beautiful weld seam,the above advantages make MG600 used for welding of NM400 wear-resistant
