Main features of boiler steel plate
Boiler steel plate is one of the most critical materials in boiler manufacturing. In addition to being subjected to higher temperatures and pressures, the boiler steel plates are also subject to impact, fatigue loads, and corrosion by water and gas, resulting in poor working conditions. Therefore, the boiler steel plate must have good physical properties, mechanical properties and workability, and be strictly specified in the technical terms of the material standard to meet its safety in use.
As the boiler steel plate is an important product, its safety and reliability requirements are strict, and the manufacturing technology is difficult, so the material must have the following main characteristics:
1. In a certain temperature range (medium normal temperature and high temperature), it has high yield strength performance;
2. With sufficient toughness, no brittle failure accidents will occur during manufacturing or use;
3. It has a small strain aging sensitivity, especially in the corresponding working temperature area, to ensure a certain value of aging impact energy;
4. With low notch sensitivity, it can prevent steel from cracking in welding, opening, and local stress concentration areas;
5. It has good welding performance;
6. It has a good microstructure, no white spots and cracks are allowed.
