Heat treatment of QStE380TM steel
QStE380TM steel usually adopts controlled rolling and normalizing treatment to obtain the required mechanical properties. The following are general heat treatment steps:
Heating: Heat QStE380TM steel to the appropriate temperature, usually between 900°C and 1100°C. The heating rate should be controlled within an appropriate range to avoid uneven tissue resulting from too fast or too slow heating.
Heat preservation: The heated QStE380TM steel is kept at the required temperature for a period of time to ensure uniform temperature distribution and grain refinement.
Cooling: Different cooling methods can be selected according to needs. During normalizing treatment, water quenching or oil quenching is usually used to quickly cool QStE380TM steel to increase hardness and strength. You can also choose air cooling or slow cooling to obtain better toughness.
Tempering (optional): If you need to reduce the hardness and increase the toughness of QStE380TM steel, you can perform tempering treatment. The tempering temperature and time can be selected according to specific requirements.
