Get a quick look at S235JR, S235J2 and S235J0

Today, we will take you to quickly understand the three grades of S235.
S235JR, S235J2, and S355J0 are carbon structural steels that implement the European standard EN10025. The difference among S235JR, S235J2, and S235J0 is the temperatures of impact test.

"S" meas steel; "235" indicates the lower limit of yield strength: 235MPa; "J2 "refers to the temperatures of impact energy test is -20 ℃; "JR" refers to the temperatures of impact energy test is +20 ℃; "J0" refers to the temperatures of impact energy test is 0 ℃.

S235 has excellent plasticity, toughness, welding performance, appropriate strength, and good cold bending. S235 is widely used for general requirements of parts and welded structure with less force, such as tie rods, connecting rods, pins, shafts, screws, nuts, brackets, frames, building structures, bridges, etc.
