Effect of phosphorus, sulfur and other elements on the properties of SPV355 steel sheet
Effect of phosphorus element on the performance of SPV355 steel sheet:
In general, phosphorus is a harmful element in steel, which increases the cold brittleness of steel, deteriorates the welding performance, reduces the plasticity, and deteriorates the cold bending performance. Therefore, the phosphorus content in steel is generally required to be less than 0.045%, and the requirement for high-quality steel is lower.
Effect of sulfur element on SPV355 steel sheet performance:
Sulfur is also a harmful element under normal circumstances. It will cause hot brittleness of steel, reduce ductility and toughness of steel, and cause cracks during forging and rolling. Sulfur is also harmful to welding performance and reduces corrosion resistance. Therefore, sulfur content is generally required to be less than 0.055%, and high-quality steel is required to be less than 0.040%. Adding 0.08-0.20% sulfur to the steel can improve the machinability, commonly known as free-cutting steel.
Influence of other elements on the performance of SPV355 steel sheet:
Aluminum, titanium, vanadium, niobium and other elements are beneficial elements in steel. They are all strong deoxidizers in steelmaking and are also commonly used alloy elements in alloy steel. Proper addition of these elements can improve the structure of steel, refine the grain, significantly improve the strength and toughness of steel.
