Chemical and mechanical properties of 12Cr1MoV alloy plate

Introduction to 12Cr1MoV alloy plate:
12Cr1MoV steel plate has higher oxidation resistance and thermal strength. The creep limit of 12Cr1MoV steel is very close to the durable strength value, and it has high plasticity under the condition of durable stretching; 12Cr1MoV steel has excellent manufacturability and weldability, but it needs to be preheated to 300 before welding, and it needs to be treated with stress relief after welding.

Chemical composition of 12Cr1MoV steel plate:
C: 0.08-0.15, Si: 0.17-0.37, Mn: 0.40-0.70, Cr: 0.90-1.20, Mo: 0.25-0.35, V: 0.15-0.30

Mechanical properties of 12Cr1MoV alloy plate:
Sample blank size: 30mm

Quenching heating temperature: 970; coolant: empty
Tempering heating temperature: 750; Coolant: empty
Tensile strength (σb/MPa): ≥490
Yield point (σs/MPa): ≥245 Elongation after fracture (δ5/%): ≤22
Section shortening rate (ψ/%): ≥50
Shock absorption energy (Aku2/J): ≥71
Impact toughness αkv (J/cm2): ≥88(9)
Brinell hardness (HBS100/3000) (annealed or tempered at high temperature): ≤179
Normal temperature: allowable tensile stress (σw/MPa): 93
allowable bending stress (σw/MPa): 112

12Cr1MoV alloy plate is a widely used steel grade for high pressure, ultra-high pressure and subcritical power plant boiler superheaters, headers and main steam conduits. 12Cr1MoV steel plate has high durable plasticity. The production process is relatively simple, and the welding performance is excellent, but it is more sensitive to the normalizing cooling rate.
