Automotive structural steel SAPH440
SAPH440 steel is a high-strength hot-rolled steel plate material, which is mainly used in the manufacture of automotive structural parts, wheels, body parts and other parts. The chemical composition of SAPH440 steel contains higher carbon, silicon, manganese and other elements, which makes the material have better strength and toughness, and also has stronger corrosion resistance.

SAPH440 Surface Classification
1. Normal surface (FA)
Pickled surface or rolled surface: The surface is allowed to have slight and partial defects such as pits, concave surfaces, scratches, etc., whose depth (or height) does not exceed half the thickness tolerance of the steel plate, but the minimum thickness allowed by the steel plate and steel strip should be guaranteed .
2. Higher surface (FB)
Pickling surface: The surface is allowed to have local defects that do not affect the formability, such as slight scratches, slight indentations, slight pitting, slight printing, and color difference.
SAPH440 Application: Mainly used for stamping and forming auto parts, such as auto frame, girder, car window, etc.
