Application of weather resistant steel in bridges and large buildings
High-strength weather resistant steel for bridges pays full attention to the influence of environmental factors and weather resistance in the research results of traditional weather resistant steel, and adds appropriate weather resistance elements, such as copper, chromium and nickel, to further improve the effect of weather resistance.
At the same time, full attention should be paid to the influence of chemical composition and organization uniformity on weather resistance, and the carbon content is designed to be equal to or close to the maximum solubility of carbon in α-Fe 0.0218%. Due to the extremely low carbon content, the diffusion rate of the solid solution atoms in the δ zone is increased, which is conducive to the homogenization of the composition.
The possibility of carbide or Fe3C formation in steel is very small. Under proper control, the final structure of the steel plate is the bainite structure; compared with the traditional pearlite-ferritic steel, the steel has a better uniform structure. Its electrode potential difference between tissues is very small, thus greatly improving the corrosion resistance.
Therefore, high-strength weather resistant steel for bridges has stronger corrosion resistance.
