Acceptance criteria of Surface for 16Mo3 steel plate
16Mo3 is named according to the content of C (carbon) and Mo (molybdenum), which means that the carbon content of this steel plate is about 0.16%, and the content of molybdenum is 3%. When the production is completed, what are the acceptance criteria for the surface of the 16Mo3 steel plate?
1. The surface of 16Mo3 steel plate should be free of harmful defects such as scabs, bubbles, cracks, inclusions, folds, and pressed iron scales which affect its use.
2.16Mo3 steel plate should not have visible delamination. The surface of 16Mo3 steel plate is allowed to have a thin layer of oxide scale, rust and other defects such as mesh, roughness, pitting, scratches.
3.The surface defects of 16Mo3 steel plate can be removed by grinding and other methods. The cleaning area should be smooth without edges and corners, and the cleaning depth should not exceed the negative deviation of thickness for 16Mo3 steel plate, and the allowable smaller thickness of 16Mo3 steel plate should be ensured.
