Key Features of P265GH Steel plate

P265GH is a popular grade of non-alloy steel widely used in the manufacturing of pressure vessels and boilers. Known for its excellent weldability and high temperature resistance, it is a preferred choice in industries such as energy, petrochemical, and oil and gas.

High-Temperature Resistance
P265GH is specifically designed to withstand elevated temperatures. Its mechanical properties remain stable under continuous exposure to heat, making it ideal for components operating in high-temperature environments, such as boilers and heat exchangers.

Good Weldability
This steel grade exhibits excellent weldability, enabling easy fabrication and assembly of pressure equipment. It supports common welding techniques like arc welding, TIG welding, and MIG welding, ensuring strong and reliable joints.

Mechanical Properties

Tensile Strength: Typically ranges from 410 to 530 MPa, ensuring durability and robustness.
Yield Strength: A minimum of 265 MPa, providing sufficient resistance against deformation under pressure.
Elongation: High elongation values ensure good ductility, allowing the material to deform without fracturing.
Chemical Composition
P265GH primarily consists of carbon (up to 0.20%) and manganese (0.80-1.40%), with trace amounts of other elements like silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. This balanced composition enhances its mechanical properties and thermal stability.

Corrosion Resistance
While not inherently corrosion-resistant like stainless steel, P265GH can be used with protective coatings or in combination with corrosion inhibitors to extend its service life.
