S355N alloy steel plate properties and application

S355N steel is a European standard hot-rolled structural steel product, and other materials of the same series are S355J0, S355K2, S355J2, etc.

Chemical composition of S355N alloy steel:
C: ≤ 0.20; Si: ≤ 0.50; Mn: ≤ 1.65; P: ≤ 0.030; S: ≤ 0.025.

Mechanical properties of S355N alloy steel:
Yield strength (Mpa): ≤16: ≥355; 16-40: ≥345; 40-63: ≥335; 63-80: ≥325;
80-100: ≥315; 100-150: 295; 150-200: ≥285; 200-250: ≥275;
Tensile strength (Mpa): 470-630

S355N alloy steel plate is delivered in normalized state.

S355N alloy steel is mainly used for large ships, bridges, power station equipment, medium and high pressure boilers, high pressure vessels, rolling stock, hoisting machinery, mining machinery and other large welded structural parts.
