16Mo3 steel for is used for boilers and pressure vessels with elevated temperatures according to EN 10028–2 (2003). It is equivalent to 15Mo3 (DIN 17155 – Germany), 15D3 (NFA 36–205 – France), BS1501–243b (BS1501 – UK) and ASTM 204 Gr.B.
16Mo3 steel grade is one of grade in En10028-2, which is non alloy and alloy steels with specified elevated temperature properties. 16Mo3 grade are used above all for manufacturing boilers, pressure vessels and pipes transporting hot liquids.
