SA387Gr11CL2 steel for oil and gas tanks

SA387Gr11CL2 steel plate is suitable for the environment below 500℃, has good high temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and sulfide corrosion resistance. It is widely used in high temperature and high pressure container installations in coal chemical and petrochemical industries.
 
Smelting method:
The smelting method of SA387Gr11CL2 steel plate: adopt electric furnace, LF/VD vacuum furnace external refining method to smelt.
 
Test Analysis of SA387Gr11CL2 Steel Plate
Recommended technical conditions: Max.PWHT: 690±14℃x20 h, Min.PWHT: 690±14℃x 6 h
When the thickness of the steel plate is less than or equal to 30mm, the full-thickness sample should be used for the test. When the thickness is greater than 30mm, the full-thickness sample or sampling at 1/4 of the thickness of the plate can be used for the test.
The notch of the impact energy sample is opened on the side of the sample, and its axis should be perpendicular to the rolled surface of the steel plate.
 
Delivery status:
It is delivered in annealed, normalized and tempered state, or when the purchaser agrees, the austenitizing temperature is accelerated by blast or liquid quenching, followed by tempering. The minimum tempering temperature is 620℃.
