SA387 Gr9 CL1 steel for thermal power plant

SA387 Gr9 CL1 steel is American standard chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, mainly used in the manufacture of petrochemical and thermal power plant equipment.

The heat treatment method is annealing, normalizing and tempering, or when the purchaser agrees, the method of blast or liquid quenching is used to accelerate cooling from the austenitizing temperature, followed by tempering. The lower limit of tempering temperature is 675℃.

SA387 Gr9 CL1 steel plate production process:
Raw materials (scrap steel, pig iron and molten iron) → electric furnace (100-ton electric arc furnace smelting) → converter → LF furnace molten steel refining treatment → VD or VOD furnace molten steel vacuum treatment → die casting (various key die casting lines) or continuous casting (large Slab continuous caster) (50 tons of slab electroslag furnace for remelting a steel ingot) → heating (continuous furnace and soaking furnace) → steel plate rolling (4100 and 4200 mm rolling mills) → steel plate heat treatment (normalizing and tempering) Quality) →Steel plate cutting inspection→Inspection

The application scope of SA387 Gr9 CL1 steel plate:
The high-end petrochemical steel SA387Gr9 material is a high-chromium alloy steel produced according to American standards. It has the properties of preventing hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen peeling, and sulfide corrosion, as well as good low temper embrittlement. It is mainly used in petrochemical and thermal power plants. Manufacturing, such as ultra-high temperature petrochemical pipelines, ultra-high temperature reactors, etc.
