Application of weather resistant steel in bridges and large buildings

Due to the extremely low carbon content, the diffusion rate of the solid solution atoms in the δ zone is increased, which is conducive to the homogenization of the composition.

The possibility of carbide or Fe3C formation in steel is very small. Under proper control, the final structure of the steel plate is the bainite structure; compared with the traditional pearlite-ferritic steel, the steel has a better uniform structure. Its electrode potential difference between tissues is very small, thus greatly improving the corrosion resistance.

Therefore, high-strength weather resistant steel for bridges has stronger corrosion resistance.
